Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 was reported struck the Japan’s southwestern Ryukyu Islands, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was centered 16 kilometers (10 miles) deep about 114 kilometers south- southwest of Ishigaki Island, some 220 kilometers east of Taiwan, the report said. Sacremento (California), Feb.5 (ANI): A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of northern California Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake hit at 12:20 p.m. PT and its epicenter was 47 miles west-southwest of Eureka, California, the USGS reported.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, Sacramento television station KTXL said.
The earthquake was strong enough to be felt some 275 miles away in San Francisco, residents said.

Earthquake Tremors on consecutive days same direction N to S

I have been sensing very low intensity earthquake tremors since yesterday. Just three time since yesterday evening. The tremors that I was able to analyze for direction (western-North to eastern-South) first at 18:23 Hours IST (+5:30 GMT) on 11th January, 2010 and the second significant tremor today i.e. 12th January, 2010 at 15:04 Hrs IST (+5:30 GMT). These tremors are of very weak intensity and I have searched Google a few days back and found out that California and Japan are having Earthquakes. The jolt-and-roll felt ’round the Bay Area on Thursday morning gave plenty of people the creeps, but scientists say the magnitude 4.1 quake was a routine geologic nerve-jangler in an area notorious for seismic action.

TOKYO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) — An earthquake measuring a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 jolted Tokunoshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture and neighboring islands in southern Japan on Thursday, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. There were no immediate reports of injuries from the 4:11 p.m. quake. No tsunami warning was issued. The focus of the quake was some 40 kilometers under the surface of the sea off Amami-Oshima Island.

quake_log_4th_June_2009 : strong bump earthquake felt

quake_log_June_4th_2009 : Strong bump earthquake tremor of short lenght but having high tide wave which was curling from South to North making a slight cuve towards West facing East felt at 4:43 pm (16:43 Hrs IST +5:30 GMT). This Tremor lasted for short span of 20-30 seconds but was having very marked tidal bump.

At 10:20 an episode of tremor waves started and one prominent came at 10:35 am IST.
This one was having direction of lowerhalf of East-Western to lowerhalf of North-South planes.
In some simple way I can say like this, “The tremor wave was traveling from Singhapore to South Affrica (Got the direction?). Now! where can we put alert of an impending earthquake? Quakes commiing form Eastern side normaly jolt Assam, Arunachal, Indonesia, and Myanmar (Burma). It can also shake recently shaken Australia, Queensland, Melbourne or North-Eastern part of Australia.

Quake_Log_March_10th_2009 : At 17:07 Hours IST (+5:30 GMT) I experienced rapid tremor pulses having direction West to East and lasted for 1 and half mins. A definite signal of an impending quake in near vicinity, May be Iran > Afghanistan > Pakistan (Karachi) > Rajasthan (India) Or it will be bigger in Australia now.

Confirmed! Quake news from Sichuan and Indonesia

UPDATE at 16:15 IST
I am uploading the evidence video (see at bottom) to YouTube and as it would take at least 45 minutes to upload 20 mb video (64kbps-Airtel, will change ISP or upgrade speed), I took a break and was watching news on IBN7. Breaking News flashed on scroll bar, a 6.5 on Richter scale Earthquake in Andaman Islands. The Andaman Islands were also included on high alert list, when I released the 48 hour long Earthquake Alert on 7th August, 2008. There was no report of any loss of life, as this post is being published here.
