“Recently on a visit to the Infosys campus in Mysore, when APJ Abdul Kalam, our magnificent and most beloved eccentric, was asked how he would feel if Narayana Murthy succeeded him as president when his own term expires later this year, Kalam beamed, “fantastic fantastic fantastic.” In an sms opinion poll, ninety per cent television viewers said, yes, Narayana Murthy should become president, an apolitical individual should become president. Should Narayana Murthy become president of India?” an extract from Sagarika Ghosh’s blog “Bharat’s first citizen”
This is not a good approach on part of Indian media to get charmed by big corporates and trump them for executive post. This way anyone can hope of getting top executive positions on the basis of their success in professional, business or personal life. Why only Narayan Murathi? why not Zee tv wala baniya Mr. Subash chandra. He is a big success story too. Man! Indian media is just getting colored in colors of capitalist mindset. Have they (Indian news media) forgotten that, there use to be a phenomena of Socialist state. If this attitude continues the days are not far, when we will see famous celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Ambani, Daler Mehandi, Malika Sherawat or Rahki Sawant in top executive positions. 😉 LOL. Can you imagine that! May God save us from this mindset. What will be the future than? “Abhi-shake” will get into the seat, after his dad completes his “turn” (not term, ha ha).
Have journalism sunk into the deep culture of page3 and hype braking news thing.. wake up and realize your karma.
