7.0-magnitude Earthquake in Haiti

A 7.0-magnitude earthquake which struck off the coast of Haiti is feared to have killed hundreds of people across the Caribbean country.

In the space of a minute, Haiti’s worst quake in two centuries wrecked the HQ of the UN mission, Haiti’s national palace and numerous other buildings.A “large number” of UN personnel were reported missing by the organisation.
Describing it as a “catastrophe”, Haiti’s envoy to the US said the cost of the damage could run into billions.
I am in Shillong and feel that there would be an earthquake here as has been predicted for long. More so tomorrow there being a solar eclipse. Dogs were howling a while ago. Hope earthquake does not come though..not now.

Do not worry dear. N to South tremors have resulted in Haiti Earthquake already. I hope there will be no major earthquake anywhere for at least a couple of months from Haiti Earthquake. From my own experience, whenever any Earthquake shakes North East, I feel tremor pulses going from East to southern-West. Thats why I feel you should not worry for now. For Dogs howling, I have found this to be not related to tremor pulses. May be due to chilly nights due to extreme cold, dogs howl all though night.
