Sleeplessness and Earthquake? related? Japan & Maxico Earthquakes

I woke up at 1:20 AM IST. Its midnight here in India. My inner voice prompted me to log into internet and check for Earthquake news worldwide. To my surprise two major Earthquakes were there in past one hour.

Powerful earthquake hits Japan
JAPAN was rocked late last night by another large earthquake prompting a warning of a tsunami of up to one metre for the Miyagi coast where the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is located.
The tsunami alert was later lifted at 1am local time (2am AEST) . Early reports put the epicentre of the 7.1 magnitude quake in the Pacific Ocean about 66km east of Sendai, or 330km north northeast of Tokyo, at a depth of between 26 and 40km. The quake, which hit at 11.32pm local time (12.32am AEST), is believed to have caused power failures in large parts of northern Honshu and severely shaken buildings. Miyagi Prefecture police reported no major damage or casualties as of 11.55pm Japan time. Read more at The Austrailian

Strong earthquake rocks eastern Mexico
Mexico City – A magnitude-6.5 earthquake rocked eastern Mexico on Thursday, but no injuries or damage were reported. The temblor occurred at 8:11 a.m. and its epicenter was located 83 kilometers (51 miles) southwest of Las Choapas, a city in Veracruz state, at a depth of 167 kilometers (104 miles), the National Seismology Service said. The quake was felt in several cities, including Mexico City, where many people left residences and office buildings as a precaution. The earthquake was felt in Minatitlan, Acayucan, Coatzacoalcos and Moloacan, all cities in Veracruz state.
