Earthquake Strikes Southern Japanese Okinawa Islands, USGS Says

Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 was reported struck the Japan’s southwestern Ryukyu Islands, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was centered 16 kilometers (10 miles) deep about 114 kilometers south- southwest of Ishigaki Island, some 220 kilometers east of Taiwan, the report said.
